Is your opponent about to capture your king? Are they gloating about their inevitable win? Play an objective card to change the goal of the game and go on to fight another turn. In this case when the objective card says capture Bishops, it means that now you need to capture both Bishops to win the game. Imagine if you had to capture all the pawns?
Are you stuck in a bad spot and don't know how to get out? Would you rather a piece move a different way so you can get that great capture? Then change how a specific piece moves by playing a MOVE LIKE card. For example, a MOVE LIKE card that shows bishop enables pieces to move like bishops. This can be applied to any type of piece-even the pawns. It is possible to move like any other piece in the game, if you have the card in hand.
Has your opponent put you in a tight spot and you are not sure how you are going to get out? Make that their problem and flip the table on them.
